We Are Solid State pre-order

The third Peachfuzz record is at press now and, if you'll excuse the obvious cliché, it really is their best yet.
Now streaming in full and up for pre-order, We Are Solid State is the new album from these Bridgend lads and it see's them pushing their power-pop sensibilities into harder and certainly rockier territories.
Featuring 10 tracks, the record will bring to mind a plethora of bands from Social Distortion to Teenage Fanclub, Neil Young to Screaming Trees, All to Soul Asylum, Badfinger to, well, Peachfuzz... For while main song-writer Adam Jones' record collection spans the decades and the genres make no mistake, he knew exactly what he wanted to achieve with this record... And it shows. This is a confident album that doesn't really give a shit about the trends that come and go, year in year out. Guitar solos aren't cool? So what, deal with it. Songs about love aren't cool? So what, deal with it. An 8 and a half minute epic with a coda straight from Bandwagonesque isn't cool? So what, you get the picture.
In a year that's seen us cover post-punk (Wooderson and Saturday's Kids) and alt-country (The Brown Hound James Band) maybe it's fitting that we end our 2012 releases with another record and band that are doing their own thing.
Here's to keeping things interesting!
